As a Wedding Photographer, I like to approach two ways. The documentary and curated, giving my clients the best of natural and candid yet a piece of artwork they can proudly show-off.
With each wedding I want to see the real laughs! The ones during prep on the bride's face with her tribe as they drink mimosas getting ready. The joking frustration as the groom tries to tie his tie. Then the tears rolling down the mother and father's cheek as they give their daughter away. Then the smile sweeping across the groom's face as he accepts her. I want to see the jovial banter between the groomsmen and the bridesmaids. The more you can let yourself enjoy the day, the better your images will be filled with genuine laughter and those moments of the beer swiggin’ at the bar, and the guests doing the eagle rock or the nut bush on the dance floor. The hilarious. The sweet. The ecstatic. The real.
In addition to these genuine moments, I also strive to produce creative portraits that represent your love and at the same time can act as a piece of art. For these images I will, when necessary, give a bit more direction, because the intention has changed from documentation to artwork. The goal with these portraits is to create something that is one of a kind, unique, and get those wow reactions from your friends and family. Images that you will continually to love as the years progress. During these moments I will also at the same time, capture those in between moments of your quiet or excited love you have for each other. My best tips for my clients, is don’t be afraid to move while I capture your story. It’s those small touches, hair sweeps, cuddles, and hand holding that I adore the most.
